Photos of Babies on Facebook
Pretty much this.
Adorable things, really happy and all, but man does it hit me right in the biological clock.

Starbucks Boy & Possible Beginnings
This is a momentous day - for the first time ever I have drawn something with a (vague) narrative! It's about the guy in Starbucks that I had a crush on but never spoke to or made eye contact with. I don't think he works there anymore, I haven't seen him in a while... I used to just sit there with my drink, reading embarassing books on my Kindle, watching him. Originally this had some text, in my head and on the thumbnails (! I know, right?), hopefully it makes sense without the text.
I also drew some other stuff today, this morning. I kinda created a character. Ish. I kind of want to make a story called Tamara Never Dies (credit goes to Bobbins for this name - it was originally a roller derby name that I still really want! I should probably ask for her permission, actually), and it's a about a demon. Called Tamara. Who's immortal, as demons are sometimes. Not sure if I'd be allowed to get away with that title though? I don't know what the deal is with those kind of things. That's pretty much as far as I got, other than doing some lame head sketches and giving her horns and demon eyes. I don't even know her personality yet, but I guess it's early days.

Ruiner of lives, destroyer of worlds
I have been here before.
Explanation: I upset at least three (3) people over the weekend at Thought Bubble and lots of things are now pretty shitty and I feel like an ass. Who am I to be upset at someone else's happiness?! Idiot.
Anyway, Thought Bubble was actually pretty great for the most part, there was dancing and carousels (you know I love them), and I bought expensive books so now can't buy any food for the rest of the month, erk. And a lovely boy who I think I treated like shit even though he is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Unfortunately I was lame to my best friend, and it turns out we are both more than a little fucked-up by our ex-boyfriend (long story) which goes to show what a complete ass he was and how similar we are in so many ways. Ugh.
Every time I come back from one of these cons I am always so pumped up for drawing and always vow to come back the next year with a table and lots of stuff to sell. Well this year I am TOTALLY doing it, look I've started already. But the problem is that I don't know what people like.. Like, who would pay money for that drawing of myself up there, that makes no sense without an explanation or if you're not me. I have no idea where to start and my imagination has always been awful. I must not give up though.
I want to move away again. Somewhere better than Weymouth. By better I mean full of more opportunities. I am stagnating here and I don't want to live here all my life.
Also, I have accidental pink hair right now, which is absolutely awesome - thank you cheap red hair dye.
This post has been brought to you by the emo-est girl ever.

Roller Derby, Drawing and Me
Holy crap, well apparently I've just missed out the whole of September and most of October... In my defence I did move house and didn't have the Internet until halfway through September, so I have a few bits and bobs to post here.
First to be eternally depressing - this was the first thing I drew after not drawing anything for weeks:
I'm just so chipper.
Then I realised I have no idea how the human body is shaped so I practiced drawing from a photo of a model (I need to do this more often):

That dress was awesome, FYI.
And then we come back to the roller derby stuff, this next one was something I did REALLY quickly for my friend who disturbed me while I was doing my Top Secret DRG logo project one night. She loves Arnie.
And finally, the big finish. I spent forever doing this.. My roller derby team doesn't really have a logo to speak of at the moment, and I felt like we should, so being someone that could draw I decided to take this matter into my own hands without telling anyone and just hope that everyone liked the surprise! It went down really well, and the response has been awesome so far, I'm still not sure if they're going to use it for anything, but it was nice to know that everyone was as happy with it as I was. I'm planning to do a full colour version one day, which shading and stuff, but for now I made a 3 colour one which is easier for printing (if we do decided to print it on stuff). Also, DRAGONS WITH ROLLERSKATES ON.
Tada!
We have our FIRST EVER bout tomorrow in Plymouth and it's going to be rad. I'm not playing but I sure have made some kickass supporting posters!

Hearts & Darkness. Plus Balloons.
This drawing was done for no reason other than I was bored sitting at my desk. I really wanted to go for a walk, but it was getting late and I was already in my pyjamas (as per usual) so I didn't really want to go back outside. Basically I was too lazy. But I guess drawing something instead is still A Good Thing.
It doesn't mean anything, but I do have a very large head. Which is true. Also, dark spaces = good. Love love love.
I went to Ikea yesterday and bought a ton of stuff for my new flat, I am so excited! But then I was in Morrison's today and spotted 18 glasses for £3(!) so bought them, even though I already have six from Ikea. Is twenty-four glasses too many? I have my heart set on a sofa called Ektorp, and it's going to be RED with some yellow cushions and it'll be totally rad, I wish I could move in already!!
And Mark Webber won the British GP today, which was gooooood.

Flat flat flat
I HAVE A FLAT. ALMOST OFFICIALLY!
I viewed one today, then thought about it a bit, then applied for it and then GOT IT within about an hour of applying. EXCITING!
Now comes the seeing if I can survive with paying that much rent a month.. It was at the top end of my price range so it'll be tight but we'll see! It's not ready until the middle of next month so I have time to sort out finances and actual furniture (Ikea) but then boom, independent living, like a real grown up. I may get a pet.
But yeah here's me in my super cool new kitchen/living room. Or at least an artist's impression of me.

flats & boys & friends & jobs
Can't decide which one I like best. This is basically me today. Really struggling to find a decent flat in this area for my price range, which is really getting me down.. So therefore I'm thinking about moving away to an area where I CAN afford a place, which means looking for another job which leads to MORE stress because I have no idea if the skills I have are actually useful to anyone. I need the exact job I have now, but somewhere else and for more money! I was thinking about Bristol, because it was so nice there when I visited Anna and Rob - like a city but not really, if you get what I mean? Not London, I don't like London.
My friend has pissed me off and I can't really avoid her so I'll probably just be seething for the next few days.
Oh, and I can't move because I'm too scared to leave the boy. But then I HAVE to move so I can finally get over the boy...
Going to try and draw every day now, even if it's just stupid emo shit like this.

Roller Derby. Again. I know.
Yes yes, I know, more roller derby. But this was a request! One of THREE requests I have had lately for illustrations for people. I've never had to draw something for anyone before and it's kind of daunting, but exciting. This one will (hopefully) be printed(!) in Lead Jammer Magazine #3 as one of my rookies is writing an article about Fresh Meat for it.
But now my back is killing me. My posture while drawing at the computer is awful, but I can't seem to draw any other way. I need to have my left hand on Ctrl + Z and the tablet has to be in front of me as there isn't any room on the desk for it to be anywhere else. Basically a bigger desk might solve this problem, but alas I have no room. I just need to SIT BETTER.

Dragons & Cars
So, on Saturday night I saw an ad on TV for interns at Red Bull Racing in Milton Keynes, me being the F1 nut that I am ran to the internet and looked up what I had to do. Basically I had to pass this convoluted online test and be within the top 20% to move forward into the next round. I passed!
I was then given an application form which was just a blank page PDF and was told to "fill this space with the reason you deserve this internship. Be as creative as you want, there are no limits here." So I draw me and a dragon. As you do. If I make it through this round the top 100 will have to do a video interview about themselves (I know, right, terrifying), then the top 50 after that get to go to the factory in Milton Keynes for real interviews. I probably won't get any further than this drawing, but hey at least I tried.
Also on Wednesday I'm going to pick up my new car! It's a 52 plate 206 and it's lovely. It has all mod cons like power steering and remote central locking! I am very excited to hopefully get a car that will do above 60mph.

Super Late Valentine's Day
Oh man I totally forgot to post this one here. It's a tad late but hey at least it exists! FYI this one wasn't about me, I actually wasn't that ragey this V Day (I know, right?), it was mostly about all the other single girls who were filling up my Facebook timeline with anger.
Roller derby is going greeeeeat, I can go pretty fast and I love falling over, but after reading all the things we need to do to pass our minimum skills test I am kind of scared. Leaping over things?! I bought some proper derby skates too! But they haven't arrived yet, which sucks, so I'm still on my lame disco skates for one more week. I also need to buy new laces, new toe guards, new toe stops and new wheels (I'm going for a pink and black theme) but they can wait until the new skates get here I guess! Super excited.
I also went to an InMe gig last night, I haven't seen them live for about 6-7 years and man I just fell in love with them all over again. I was pretty brave and went al by myself but apart from looking like a loser in between support bands it was actually okay. I managed to get a spot right at the front for InMe, so Dave was practically sweating on me, and my back is probably bruised from all the shoving I took, but yeah it was amaaaazing.

Facebook Cover Take Two
I wanted to update my Facebook cover photo drawing as my hair isn't really like that anymore (even though I haven't even updated my default profile photo), and I had grown bored of the original one. I racked my brains for AGES trying to think of something witty to splash across my page but me being the queen of imagination that I am couldn't think of anything.
Started doing this one:
Then gave up because I'd already done the "favourite things" theme and didn't really want to go there again.
During this time I also discovered that the other end of my tablet pen is actually an eraser! Like a real pencil! Like, if you turn it upside down and use it on the tablet it automatically turns into the eraser tool! Magic.
Anyway, I was running out of time and One Born Any Minute is on soon and in the end I came up with a kind of placeholder if you will.. Although it'll probably be there for a while knowing me. Until I can think of something better.
My faaaace, all over your screeeeen. I doubt anyone actually clicks onto my actual wall anyway, so I've gone through all this trouble for no-one to look at it. But for now I'm off to watch babies being born. I can come back to this tomorrow.

Facebook Cover
So Facebook has this new timeline thing for your profile page, and it comes with a big header image at the top (why it's called "cover" image I don't know..) and it seemed like the perfect place for a drawing!
I spent ages doing this but now I don't really like how it looks on the actual page so I'll probably end up making another one.. When I'm not working or playing Skyrim.
Fucking Skyrim. I curse whoever created addictive RPGs! (I do love it though omg.)

Skyrim
Seriously I don't want to even try and count how many hours I played this today. I was in my pyjamas until about 2pm. And I'm still only level 15 or something! I've taken the sneaky sniper route like Dan, because that seemed like the least dangerous - less chance of me getting hit = less chance of me flailing and panicking. But ohhh my god I live forever in fear of stumbling across something huge that will kick my tiny blond Nord ass, so I'm almost always crouching and sneaking, even though I move like ten times slower.
Gaah I'm anxious just thinking about it!

Vikings!
My friend Marc wanted me to draw him as a viking, but I can draw myself better so...
This is possibly what I will be like when I get Skyrim - slaying dragons all over the show. And talking all olde Englishe, with many a "thee" and "forsooth".
